After a shaky showing on offense against France, Team USA came out firing from outside. The Iranians had no consistent answers for the Americans’ drive-and-kick offense, and a hot shooting night from Damian Lillard helped USA build its cushion. Lillard, who committed several crucial late-game turnovers against France, bounced back with 18 points on six three-pointers in the first half against Iran. As a team, the United States shot a blistering 13-21 from beyond the arc.
