On offense, Texas ranks second in the Big 12 with 482 total yards and a league-best 45 points per game, although two of Texas’ games have gone into overtime. Defensively, the Longhorns are eighth out of 10 teams in the conference allowing 32.2 points, and sixth giving up 383.4 yards per game.

Sanders returns in win over Iowa State
Oklahoma State is the team to beat in the Big 12. After struggling in a 16-7 season-opening win as a 24-point home favorite against Tulsa, the Cowboys have won and covered the spread in all three of their conference games. The defense has been the strength for the Cowboys, who rank first in the Big 12, holding their opponents to just 12 points and second with 303.2 yards allowed per game.

Spencer Sanders is expected to start at quarterback for the Cowboys offense that has provided their defense with all the help it has needed thus far, averaging 28.5 points per game and 418.2 yards of total offense. After being injured in the season opener against Tulsa, Sanders returned to action against Iowa State, completing 20 or 29 passes for 235 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Sanders also added a touchdown and 82 yards with his feet. In 2019, Sanders completed 62.7% of his passes for 2,065 yards with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Sanders also ran for 628 yards with two touchdowns last year.
