Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother, Jackson, apologized on Sunday night after he filmed a TikTok on top of former Washington Football Team defensive back Sean Taylor’s number on the sideline at FedEx Field before their game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Washington retired Taylor’s number on Sunday.
“I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field,” Jackson wrote on Twitter. “We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family.”
Jackson, an avid TikToker, filmed a dance over the painted number on the sideline before the Chiefs’ 31-13 win over Washington.
Though he later deleted the video, it still drew plenty of outrage on social media.

The Washington Football Team retired Taylor’s number on Sunday, something some thought was done on extremely short notice. Taylor played 55 games for Washington from 2004-07. He was killed after a gunman broke into his Miami-area home in 2007 and shot him during a robbery. Taylor died the next day.
Eric Rivera was sentenced to 57 years in prison for Taylor’s death in 2014.
Taylor’s jersey is just the third that the Washington Football Team has retired, joining Sammy Baugh and Bobby Mitchell.
This marks the second time in recent weeks that Jackson drew negative attention at a Chiefs game. Jackson was caught on video last month pouring a bottle of water onto a group of Ravens fans who were taunting him before walking away.
