No. 14 Michigan leads Wisconsin 13-10 at halftime of a game that got a lot more interesting late in the first half. Neither team was able to do much of anything offensively to start the game, though Michigan did take advantage of the field position battle to take an early lead.
At first, it looked like one score might be all the Wolverines needed to come out with the win in this one. Wisconsin went three-and-out on its first four possessions for no points and -7 yards of offense. They then picked up 10 points on their final two possessions, including a beautiful touchdown pass from Graham Mertz to Chimere Dike just before halftime to cut Michigan’s lead to 13-10.
It still hasn’t been an offensive explosion, but both units have shown signs of life. Hopefully the momentum carries into the second half.
