Game notes: While MSU is playing better than many expect, Indiana has seemingly taken a step back. IU had some extra time to recover after suffering a 24-0 beatdown Oct. 2 at the hands of Penn State. That’s the same score the Hoosiers beat the Spartans by last season as Michael Penix Jr. threw for over 300 yards. He is inactive for this game.
