For the third-consecutive day, the Porcupine Health Unit is reporting a new case of COVID-19 among local residents.
The latest to contract the virus is a young person, under the age of 20, who resides in one of the communities on the James Bay Coast.
The health unit did not identify the community, however, reported the individual is currently in self-isolation at home.
This brings the running total of local cases to 79 since January.
Sixty-five of those 79 individuals have since recovered while nine died.
That leaves five cases still listed as active including the latest.
The PHU said it is still investigating how the young individual from the Coast may have contracted the virus.
