The Philadelphia 76ers have new life in this series after their 99-79 victory in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series against the Miami Heat. Joel Embiid made his return in their game at Wells Fargo Center and led Philadelphia to a much-needed victory to keep their postseason hopes alive as falling into a 3-0 hole would have made things almost impossible for them to overcome.
Embiid finished the win with a double-double scoring 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds but he had plenty of help as three other Sixers players finished the win having scored in double figures. On the other end, Jimmy Butler led the charge for Miami by scoring 33 points, nine assists and two rebounds but he did not receive the type of assistance that Embiid did as Tyler Herro was the only other Heat player to eclipse the 10-point plateau, finishing with 14 points.
With the win, Philadelphia will have an opportunity to even the series on their home floor on Sunday in Game 4.
