Fans rip ultra-exclusive Yankees-Guardians broadcast on Amazon Prime

The Yankees’ Amazon Prime debut left many fans missing the action.

The Yankees-Guardians series opener Friday night at the Stadium was the first of 21 scheduled Yankees games that will be exclusively broadcast on the streaming service, as The Post’s Andrew Marchand previously reported.

Not only is the broadcast exclusive to Prime, it’s limited to only the Yankees’ local region. The only option for out of market fans, including Guardians fans, to access the game is through an MLB.TV out-out-market subscription, which starts at $139.99 a year.

That left fans outside the New York metro area unable to realistically watch the game, regardless of whether they subscribe to Amazon Prime or not.

Instead, they were left to complain.

So let me see if I got this right?

The #Yankees got rid of PIX 11 games, which were essentially free with an antenna. And put those PIX 11 games on Amazon Prime, where you have to pay about $13 a month. On top of almost $200 in cable to watch on YES.

So let me get this straight @Yankees @MLB , I don’t have Amazon Prime. I live in NYC. And I can’t watch the Yankee game tonight? How in the hell does this make sense?

Out-of-Market? MLB .tv

And yet @MLB is still wondering how do we grow the game?

Clearly the answer is to shorten the games, not making games easily accessible to people.

I wouldn’t mind watching the Yankees on Amazon prime but it keeps buffering, sound drops off, pic is breaking up. @PrimeVideo make sure you can handle everyone watching something live. @MLB if you want to attract new fans, be sure the platform actually works
