Embarrassed Utah reporter had no idea she was interviewing Jordan Clarkson – New York Post

She was searching for a person interested in the Jazz, and she certainly found someone who qualified.

Hayley Crombleholme, a reporter at KUTV in Salt Lake City, was assigned to seek fan reaction outside Utah’s Vivint Arena after an announcement that all home games would require proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Crombleholme, who is not a sports reporter, realized too late that the man on the street she found was the 2020-2021 NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

She sought comment from Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson, a former Laker, and asked him to spell his name. She asked the seven-year pro if he went to any Jazz games.

“Yeah, a lot,” said Clarkson, a good sport.

At first, Utah reporter Hayley Crombleholme was unaware she was speaking with Jazz player Jordan Clarkson.

Once Crombleholme realized there was a good reason he went to a lot of games, she acknowledged it on Twitter, with the video then going viral.

“I’m only mildly (okay highly) embarrassed,” Crombleholme tweeted.
