No. 2 Alabama holds a 34-21 lead on No. 21 Arkansas through three quarters of their SEC West showdown in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young has been the star of the show. The redshirt sophomore is 26 of 34 for 461 yards and four touchdowns on the afternoon, with one of those strikes coming in the third quarter when he found Christian Leary outside after buying time and escaping pressure in a Johnny Manziel-like manner.
Arkansas’ offense hasn’t been intimidated by the Crimson Tide defense. The Razorbacks have found a connection between quarterback KJ Jefferson and star receiver Treylon Burks, as the two have hooked up seven times for 152 yards and two touchdowns to keep the Hogs in the game as we head to the fourth.
The Crimson Tide will wrap up the SEC West with a win today or next weekend when they travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium to take on rival Auburn.
